Step 5: Residency Reclassification Status & Decisions

Please note that due to high volume, there will be extended processing times.

Communications

You can monitor the status of your reclassification application through your My Buckeye Link. You will receive an email notification when your eligibility has been determined, or if additional information is needed. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide a date when your application will be processed. Please be aware we are working hard to process applications accurately and quickly. Your status in Buckeye Link indicates the current status of your application.

Status inquiries and multiple follow up messages delay processing time. We understand your desire to receive a decision quickly and appreciate your patience as we work to best assist you.

Check the Status of Your Application

Please verify that you have enrolled for the term and submitted all requested documentation on your Residency Reclassification Form.

Processing of your application only begins when these two conditions are met:

  • You are enrolled for the term in which you are filing your residency application
  • All required documentation has been received

You can view your Residency Application Status and Document List by selecting Residency in the dropdown selection menu within the Personal Information section as shown in steps 1-3 in  the step by step instructions.

If you are having issues logging into your My Buckeye Link, you can contact the Office of Technology and Digital Innovation (OTDI) at 614-688-HELP or 8HELP@osu.edu.
