Access to Post Grades

Post access is required to post or change grades. Reach out to your department scheduling contact with questions about grading access. If there was an adjustment to your grading access, please allow 24 hours for this to be updated.

Incomplete Grades

An Incomplete (“I”) may be assigned when a student has satisfactorily completed a major portion of the work in a course. Additional time is permitted to complete outstanding requirements upon discretion of the instructor.

Assignment of an Incomplete and any reasonable additional extension is determined by the  instructor, in concurrence with the instructional department. An Incomplete should not be assigned without confirmation from the student that they intend to complete the course requirements.

Incomplete Grades will lapse if a grade change form is not submitted by the deadline listed below. If an additional extension is approved, a grade change form must be submitted to change the I grade to an IX (Incomplete Extension). Detailed instructions are located on the Enter and Post Grades through the Grade Roster instructions.

Once a lapse grade has posted, it cannot be returned to an I or changed to an IX. A grade change form must be submitted when a final grade is determined.

For grading considerations related to cases of academic integrity, see the Office of Academic Affairs’ Faculty Obligations.
