The University Faculty Rules, 3335-3-35 (C)(14), stipulate that students be given the opportunity to evaluate the quality of instruction provided in each course. The Survey of Student Learning Experience (SSLE) is the official, university-wide instrument for this purpose. 

Following a successful pilot in the 2024-2025 academic year, the Student Evaluation of Instruction (SEI) has been updated and is now known as the Survey of Student Learning Experience (SSLE).
