CIM Courses Submission Deadlines

CourseLeaf CIM Courses Submission Deadlines

As of August 2026, CourseLeaf CIM Courses is the new curriculum management system for courses at the university. Curriculum.osu.edu, while still active, will be retired once all CourseLeaf modules are live. CIM Courses is now the only curriculum software available for users to propose new courses or propose course edits.

Therefore, the deadlines for initiating proposals in CIM Courses are listed below. These deadlines provide time to develop and initiate proposals while also ensuring the necessary time for workflow in CIM Courses. This will support the core goal of providing students with a positive enrollment experience and timely new and updated offerings in SIS.

Spring proposals must be initiated by October 1. Proposer access will be reduced on October 2; the proposer will not be able to submit a new course proposal or course edit proposal for Spring term on or after October 2.

Summer proposals must be initiated by March 1. Proposer access will be reduced on March 2; the proposer will not be able to submit a new course proposal or course edit proposal for Summer term on or after March 2.

Autumn proposals must be initiated by June 1. Proposer access will be reduced on June 2; the proposer will not be able to submit a new course proposal or course edit proposal for Autumn term on or after June 2.

Important: Approvers will continue to have access to review and approve proposals that were initiated on or before the deadline.

Note: The above are the university’s deadlines within CIM Courses, however, a college may have earlier deadlines that support that college’s internal curricular process. If so, please work with your college administrator.

  1. Go to: osu-next.osu.edu 

  2. Log in using your Ohio State credentials 

  3. Your CourseLeaf dashboard will appear
