Semester	14 weeks of "instructional time"
Session 1	7 weeks of "instructional time" conducted during the first half of the full semester
Session 2	7 weeks of "instructional time" conducted during the second half of the full semester

Autumn Grade Posting Deadlines

Oct 1	Mon	Incomplete grades and/or extensions due for prior quarter/semester.
Oct 15	Mon	Grade posting deadline for Session 1 (Degree Audits available next morning).
Dec 13 (5:00pm)	Thu	Grade posting deadline for all graduating student grades (Degree Audits available next morning). Note: Grades for graduating students are due no later than 48 hours after the end of the exam, except for finals administered on Wednesday, when grades for graduating students will be due no later than 24 hours after the end of the exam.
Dec 17 (Midnight)	Mon	Grade posting deadline for non-graduating students (Degree Audits available next morning).
Jan 13 (Midnight)	Sun	Last day for grades to be submitted and posted electronically; Grade Change Form required after this deadline.

Autumn Calendar

Aug 15	Wed	Initial tuition and fees payment deadline (all tuition and fees due on this date - even for Session 2 courses with a later start date).
Aug 15	Wed	Deadline to accept or decline coverage from Student Health Insurance.
Aug 22	Wed	First day of classes for full semester and Session 1 courses.
Aug 24	Fri	Deadline to apply for a residency reclassification (for tuition purposes).
Aug 31	Fri	Drop for Non-Payment; students with an unpaid balance after this date will be subject to removal from classes and penalty fees may be assessed.
Sep 3	Mon	Labor Day observed -- no classes, offices closed.
Sep 5	Wed	Ohio Board of Regents Census Date ("15th" Day).
		The university reserves the right to refuse registration and/or fee payment after this date.
Sep 20	Thu	60% completion date for Session 1 courses; financial aid will not be recalculated on withdrawals after this date.
Oct 9	Tue	Last day of regularly scheduled classes Session 1 courses.
Oct 10-11	Wed-Thu	Final Exams for Session 1 courses.
Oct 12	Fri	First day of classes for Session 2 courses.
Oct 27	Sat	60% completion date for full semester courses; financial aid will not be recalculated on withdrawals after this date.
Nov 12	Mon	Veterans' Day observed -- no classes, offices closed.
Nov 17	Sat	60% completion date for Session 2 courses; financial aid will not be recalculated on withdrawals after this date.
Nov 21	Wed	Thanksgiving Break Begins -- no classes, offices open.
Nov 22	Thu	Thanksgiving Day -- no classes, offices closed.
Nov 23	Fri	Columbus Day observed -- no classes, offices closed.
Dec 4	Tue	Last day of regularly scheduled classes for Session 2 and full semester.
Dec 5	Wed	Reading Day - no classes on this day provides an opportunity to study for exams.
Dec 6-12	Thu-Wed	Final Examinations for Session 2 and full semester classes.
Dec 16	Sun	Commencement.
Dec 24	Mon	President’s Day observed -- no classes, offices closed.
Dec 25	Tue	Christmas Day observed -- no classes, offices closed.

Autumn Registration Dates

Apr 20	Fri	Last day to clear holds prior to enrollment appointments opening.
Apr 30-Aug 24		Registration for autumn semester (includes full semester, Session 1, and Session 2 scheduling).
Aug 22	Wed	Last day to transfer colleges or make a campus change for autumn.
Aug 31	Fri	Last day to register for the audit or pass/non-pass options for a Session 1 course (undergraduates only).
Sep 5	Wed	Ohio Board of Regents Census Date ("15th" Day).
		The university reserves the right to refuse registration and/or fee payment after this date.
Sep 14	Fri	Last day to register for the audit or pass/non-pass options for a full semester course (undergraduates only).
Oct 19	Fri	Last day to register for the audit or pass/non-pass options for a Session 2 course (undergraduates only).

Autumn Add/Drop Deadlines - Full Semester

Aug 24	Fri	Last day to add a full semester course using on-line registration.
		Last day to add a course without instructor's written permission for full semester courses.
Aug 31	Fri	Last day to add a full semester course without a petition.
		Drop for Non-Payment; students with an unpaid balance after this date will be subject to removal from classes and penalty fees may be assessed.
Sep 14	Fri	Last day to drop a full semester course using on-line registration.
Sep 14	Fri	Last day to drop a full semester course without receiving a "W" on the student's record.
Oct 26	Fri	Last day to drop a full semester course without petitioning.

		Last day to add a course without instructor's written permission for Session 1 courses.

		Deadline for University Residences and Dining Services fees; unpaid accounts subject to a late fee beyond this date.
		First TOPP installment due.
Aug 16	Thu	Autumn Late Payment Fee assessed at $200.
Aug 22	Wed	First day of classes for full semester courses.
Aug 24	Fri	Last day 100% Refund Period for full semester courses.
Aug 31	Fri	Last day of 75% Refund Period for full semester courses.
Sep 1	Sat	Autumn Late Payment Fee increases to $300.
		Autumn Late Registration Fee assessed at $500 for full semester.
		Late Course Add Fee assessed at $100 per course for full semester courses added.
Sep 8	Sat	Re-enrollment Fee of $300 begins today.
Sep 14	Fri	Last day 50% Refund Period for full semester courses.
Sep 15	Sat	Second TOPP installment due.
Oct 15	Mon	Third TOPP installment due.
Oct 27	Sat	60% completion date for full semester courses; financial aid will not be recalculated on withdrawals after this date.

Scheduling Information for Spring 2013 Semester

Sep 10	Mon	Schedule of Classes available.
Oct 15	Mon	Registration for Spring 2013 opens.
Oct 15	Mon	University Priority appointments open (continue opening through Oct. 17th).
Oct 18	Thu	Graduating Seniors' appointments open (continue opening through Oct. 19th).
Oct 22	Mon	Seniors' (Rank 4), Post-bac GRD, and GRD/Prof appointments open (continue opening through Oct. 26th).
Oct 29	Mon	Juniors' (Rank 3) appointments open (continue opening through Nov. 2nd).
Nov 5	Mon	Sophomores' (Rank 2) appointments open (continue opening through Nov. 9th).
Nov 13	Tue	Freshmen (Rank 1) et al-conditional, special, and transient (Ranks VST) students' appointments open continue opening through Nov. 16th).

On-line self-service registration is available from the date the student's enrollment appointment opens through the First Friday of classes for adds and through the Fourth Friday for semester drops or the Second Friday for session drops.

Graduate School Dates

Sep 7	Fri	Application to graduate for master’s and doctoral students due - 247 University Hall.
Nov 28	Wed	Report of Master’s Examination or Final Oral Examination (doctoral students) due - 247 University Hall.
Dec 5	Wed	Approved master thesis or doctoral dissertations and related fees due - 247 University Hall.

VERY IMPORTANT - Please note that special refund and forfeiture policies apply to students receiving financial aid or fee authorizations. Some students may be required to repay and refund a portion of their aid or fee authorization if they withdraw or drop hours.
