Ohio Residency for Tuition Purposes

Overview

The Ohio State University residency guidelines are established by the Ohio Board of Regents, which is the planning and coordinating agency for higher education in the State of Ohio. To be classified as a resident for tuition purposes, a student must meet the guidelines for residency as defined by the Ohio Board of Regents. The state of Ohio provides a tuition subsidy for all residents of Ohio which is largely funded by the taxpayers of Ohio.

Deadlines

Term	Online Application Open	Online Application Closed*
Autumn Term	June 1st	August 1st (If requested, supporting documentation must be submitted by August 8th)
Spring Term	October 15th	December 15th (If requested, supporting documentation must be submitted by December 22nd)
Summer Term	March 1st	April 15th (If requested, supporting documentation must be submitted by April 22nd)

*all deadlines must be met in order to have your application reviewed for the specified term.
